The Art of Glass Blowing - Wine Glass Video
I have always been fascinated by the creative mind and discipline that's necessary to create a mouth-blown glass art masterpiece.
From the first time I've witnessed an artist at work, carefully shaping the malleable medium into an elaborately decorative wine glass, martini glass or perfume bottle, I was fascinated by the bright colors and delicately intricate design and the talent of each person in the process.
I hope you enjoy the video and pass it along to other enthusiasts so they too may enjoy this wonderful process! The items shown in the video can be purchased at the Art Glass Boutique on Bonanzle.com.

Correia Art Glass Purple Vase
Welcome to the side door of the Art & Glass Boutique!
http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/Teragatto/items/Correia_Art_Glass_Vase_Purple_Limited_Edition_113_500_Signed
Thanks for looking!
Correia Art Glass is of the highest quality and most elegant design. Its allure is the visual aesthetic of color, form and tactile sensation yet it is the perfect marriage of art and function. These pieces beg to be held and used.
The skilled artisans for Correia Art Glass use the freehand blowing techniques and tools of centuries past while applying new technology that produces superior results. Liquid glass, pulled from the furnace’s 2600 degree Fahrenheit inferno on to long stainless steel pipes, is blown and twirled and worked in an artful silent ballet of hot glass applied to hot glass.
The molten magic of fire transforming fine sand from the American Southwest into glass is an entirely handmade process using our own formulas of minerals and precious metals. The result is art achieved through color, shape and light. Designs are garnet-etched into the surface of the glass, never painted on. Each unique piece is then signed, dated and registered for authenticity.
The nation’s great museums own Correia Art Glass. It is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Corning Museum and the Chrysler Museum of Art. Each year Correia Art Glass also receives commissions for special pieces from corporations and public institutions and is included in the White House art holdings.
Correia Art Glass, located in Santa Monica, California, is a small family-owned glass studio. It was founded in 1973 by nationally recognized glass artist
Steven V. Correia, whose work with glass and light have been exhibited all over the world. Patricia Correia laid the foundation for Correia’s national reputation by introducing our glass to the finest retailers and fine art museums.

The Art of Glass Blowing
The items to the left are mouth-blown and hand-decorated crystal and are produced individually in the European country of Romania. The Collection provokes the mind and stimulates the eyes with its unpredictable swirl design, and "stained glass" like finish.
Glass blowing is the art of creating an object from molten glass by blowing air into a utilizing tube. The glass in the oven takes days to melt (the oven is never turned off). The artisan collects molten glass on the tip of his blow rod, being careful to accumulate just the right amount for the piece to be blown.
Once the shape of the glass has been achieved, the glass is cooled. It is then sent onto etching stations where the grape pattern is cut by hand into the glass. Different craftsmen cut the different pieces of the etching: one person etches the grapes, another the vine, and yet another the leaves.
When the glass etching is complete, the glass is polished and sent to the painting station. Here the etchings are painted by hand, using natural luster and real gold.
Once the piece is in its final shape, it is fired one more time to ensure long-lasting strength, durability, and color. To view the entire line of crystal wine glasses and accessories come by and see us at BONANZLE!

Decorating The Home 101 - Jazz it up!
Jazz it up - remodel or decorate your living space and add some character make a statement and above all have fun!
Decorating or remodeling your home is a very personal project and takes time to get it just right. The look and feel of your space will evolve over time but here are some ideas to get you started right away.
There are thousands of ways to transform a space into a unique and comfortable oasis, maybe a throw pillow here or there, some retro furniture, Persian rugs and even dry flower arrangements are kind of cool! If you're really motivated, a new coat of paint is a great way to get an entire new look.
However, if the long hours to add new paint doesn't do it for you, consider adding decor accents like an original oil or acrylic painting from an unknown artist; you'll surprise yourself at what you can find at very a reasonable price, and it's a great way to make a statement!
Consider studio quality art glass such as limited edition Vases and Bowls, they are functional and make a great center piece in any room and a what a wonderful conversational piece, you're sure to get many comments!
Unique hand crafted art glass lamps are another favorite of mine or even a weathered style wood picture frame or two can add an old world flare.
How about hand crafted decorative wall decor? There are many beautiful inexpensive pieces available that can be displayed on either side of a door or simply as a focal point on any wall in a room.
No matter what your choices are, the goal is to add a splash of color and something different in every room to help your living space become unique and exciting!
There are thousands of artists out there today making beautiful art objects however, there are only handful who have mastered the process to the point where they can offer limited edition and commissioned art work.
If you have the resources to make an investment on a quality work of art, well then studio Art Glass or an Original painting is a must have for your space!!

How to care for your glassware
How to care for your glassware
Taking a few moments to care for your glassware will help keep it brilliant and clear throughout a lifetime of use.
We recommend the following care: Do not expose to rapid temperature changes or extremes of temperature. Do not place in the microwave, oven, dishwasher, or freezer. Avoid placing in direct sunlight. For best results, avoid contact with metal utensils when stirring or serving.
For candleholders, do not secure candles with molten wax or allow candles to burn within three inches of the candle cup. Drips less candles are preferable. If wax does adhere to candleholder, clean gently with denatured alcohol.
Store your glassware right side up; do not stack vessels. Avoid sliding or twirling the glass. Avoid contact with hard or abrasive materials. You may wish to cover display areas with protective felt. Avoid packing glassware in newspaper or other moisture-absorbing materials for long periods of time; soft cloth or bubble wrap is preferable.
Cleaning your glassware: Hand wash using a non-abrasive (mild soap like dish washing liquid) cleaner in warm water. You can not use any type of chemical cleaner like Windex. You may wish to cushion the sink with a towel or rubber mat.
If stains appear on the vessel, gently rub with half a lemon, wash with vinegar, or soak the interior with powdered dentifrice dissolved in lukewarm water. In areas with very hard water and high mineral content, distilled water will help prevent staining. To dry, use a soft, lint-free cloth, or air dry. To avoid scratching, dust with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened in a mild solution of 1-part ammonia to 3-parts water.
